CAN SOMEONE WHO KNOW'S THEIR SHIT PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION ABOUT ML vs BUYING POINTS DOWN?

At Olympic the Lakers ML is -550 but Lakers -8 buy it down to -1/2 and it's -400 or buy 9.5 to +1.5 and it's -520.

What am I missing?

all i can tell you is that in most places you cannot buy down to - ½ point or + ½ on playoff/championship games. If you can at Oly or anywhere else ...... then go for it there is of course no difference.

That is just because they took hits on the ML and the bettors didn't do their homework and realize a better price was there in the way you point out. Just like the line listing I showed for the Pistons/Pacers where the Pacers were +350 to win the series, but someone lacking common sense could bet the Pacers to win the series 4 games to 3 at +275. I wouldn't be surprised if this existed many times because the other side of the ML is going to be fairly shorter odds so no scalping will be possible on it.

Most places only let you buy up to 2 points. Some let you buy 3, and that's about it. I am sure a couple of spots let you buy like7 or 8 like ABC islands, but that's about it. GL!
